Day 01 : CHENNAI - MAHABALIPURAM
Drive to Mahabalipuram (1 Hrs. - 60 km) In the afternoon, visit Mahabalipuram, a village filled with stone carvings by the seaside. In the late afternoon, admire the 'Five Rathas' the 'Descent of the Ganges' and 'Butter Ball' at Mahabalipuram. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.
DAY 02 : MAHABALIPURAM - PONDICHERRY
Breakfast at hotel, Departure for Pondicherry (2 Hrs. ?100 km) In the morning, visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the cenotaph of the "Mother." Stroll through the old French Quarter. Continue the city tour on foot visiting Sri Manakula Vinayakar temple of Lord Ganesh, The former site of the Pantheon, the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, The Lycée and The Alliance Française. In the evening, a cool walk by the seaside. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
DAY 03 : PONDICHERRY - THANJAVUR
Breakfast at hotel, Drive to Tanjore (4 Hrs. ?240 km) on the way visit Chidambaram to discover the temple of Nataraja - The 'Cosmic Dancer' one of the most famous representations of Lord Shiva performing his Anandatandava, meaning the Dance of Bliss. Then visit Gangaikondacholapuram- a temple built entirely with granite. Overnight stay in Tanjore.
DAY 04 : THANJAVUR ?KARAIKUDI
Early breakfast at hotel, Drive to Karaikudi, (3 Hrs. ?150 km) formerly known as Kanadukathan a most famous for its Chettinad cuisine and for the architecture of its houses, whose main entrances are shaped to resemble those of temples. Visit the city and the palaces Overnight stay in Karaikudi.
DAY 05 : KARAIKUDI - MADURAI
Madurai is a major city in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. It is the administrative headquarters of Madurai District. Madurai is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu[3] and the 31st largest urban agglomeration in India.[4] Located on the banks of River Vaigai, Madurai has been a major settlement for two millennia and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The total population 4 millions surrounded by agricultural land.
DAY 06: MADURAI
Breakfast at hotel, Full day city tour of Madurai Tirumalai Nayak Palace, the Temple of the goddess Meenakshi and the Temple Tank. In the evening, a casual walk around the river and to see a sunset ceremony at Meenakshi temple, in which the statue of Lord Shiva is taken in procession. Overnight stay in Madurai.
DAY 07: MADURAI ?PERIYAR
After break-fast travel towards (160 km ?4 Hrs.) a famed natural reserve in Thekkady, located at an altitude of 1000m and situated across a lake, Periyar Lake named after the river that flows into it. We will have a walk in the Reserve Parks with trained guides, who may be able to help us spot some of the wide variety of animals that live here. Afternoon sightseeing at a Spice Garden. Overnight stay at Periyar.
DAY 08: PERIYAR - MUNNAR
After break-fast, travel towards Munnar (125 km ?2.5 Hrs.) a town and hill station in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Munnar is situated around 1600 m above sea level in the Western Ghats range of mountains. The name Munnar is believed to mean "three rivers", referring to the location at the confluence of the Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 09: MUNNAR
After breakfast, visit the trading center tea plantations which are among the highest in the world. Walk in the plantations. Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 10: MUNNAR ?ALLEPPEY
Board the houseboat around 12pm (noon) ?(200 km ?4 Hrs.) Boat trip through the backwaters to admire the tropical vegetation. Stop to visit villages, markets and watch local artisans engaged in building boats. Overnight stay at Alleppey - in a full board houseboat.
DAY 11: ALLEPPEY ?COCHIN
Breakfast at hotel Drive to Cochin (60 km ?1 Hr) a vibrant city situated on the south west coast of the Indian Peninsula with its breath taking scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as “God’s own country? Enjoy a Kathakali performance: traditional dance of Kerala that incorporates elements of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine. Overnight stay in Cochin.
DAY 12: COCHIN
After breakfast, visit the stately houses and buildings from Portuguese times, the Dutch palace, the tomb of Vasco de Gama (the first Portuguese to visit India), the Synagogue (the only of its kind in southern India) and the famous Chinese fishing nets along the beach. Overnight stay in Cochin.
DAY 13: COCHIN ?YOUR DESTINATION
After breakfast proceed for your destination.
